Why should I come here?


If you are looking for some peace, tranquility or a bit of ‘me’ time then we offer the following:

Relax in Nature: Sit in our gardens and listen to the calming sounds of the waterfall and wind chimes, as well as sitting by the wildlife pond for some time out for yourself. There are quieter gardens around the back.

Read and Reflect: When the weather is good, read a book outside in our gardens, or inside in our library. We have a good size library with Buddhist, mindfulness and wellbeing books to choose from while you are here.
Take a Break: Between 10.30 and 14.30 sit in a cosy corner of our Tibetan style café for some refreshments.
Meditate for Inner Peace: Maybe in your lunch hour take some time out to meditate in our Tara room for some inner peace and tranquility. You can either sit on your own and do your own practice or you can use one of our recordings that is freely available in the meditation room.

If you are looking for improving your general wellbeing through the practices:

Meditation and Mindfulness: Learn mediation and mindfulness to ease anxiety and stress, and improve your overall wellbeing.

Workshops: Choose and attend the variety of workshops to feel good and enhance your wellbeing.
Yoga Classes: Build strength, awareness and harmony in both the mind and body with yoga classes.

If you are looking for professional support for your wellbeing, we offer the following services:

Personal Guidance: Experienced psychotherapists and counsellors who are available to provide personal guidance and support at our centre.

Physical Wellbeing: Benefit from our physical wellbeing specialists who can help you achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Mindfulness Sessions: Schedule one-to-one sessions with our mindfulness practitioners to enhance your mental clarity and reduce stress.

If you are looking to connect and communicate with others:

Volunteering: Join our volunteering programs to give back to the community and meet like-minded individuals.

Social Connections: Meet new people and build connections during your visits to our center.

Engaging Conversations: Participate in our fireside chats for engaging and meaningful conversations.

FREE Mindfulness Guided Classes

At the Samye Foundation Wales, we are committed to making mindfulness accessible to everyone, which is why we're proud to offer a variety of free classes. Please note that our centre will be closed for classes and events from Monday, 28th July and will re-open on Saturday, 31st August.

During this time, we will be finalising our new programme for the autumn/winter season and completing much-needed administrative tasks.
