I have over 15 years of private practice experience. Before that, I volunteered for two years with Women in Mind, supporting clients with issues like depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, eating disorders, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I also have experience counselling at Inroads, a local street drugs project.

I work with a full range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, stress, panic disorders, phobias, OCD, eating disorders, anger, and many other areas. Counselling is not just for those in crisis or with a mental health condition—it’s a space for anyone who needs to talk about their concerns. I’ll listen and help you find the direction or goal you’re seeking.

Many clients come to counselling during life transitions to explore their feelings and clarify their goals. I provide a confidential and non-judgmental space where you can freely discuss whatever is on your mind.

Counselling differs from talking to family or friends. I listen fully, step into your world, and aim to understand how you feel and think. Together, we can work on areas such as unhelpful thinking patterns, behaviors, or beliefs. Any changes are your choice, and I adapt therapy models to suit your individual needs.

I am based at the Mindfulness and Wellbeing Centre, Cowbridge Road East, Canton, Cardiff—a main route through the city with bus access.

There may be times when you feel distant from yourself — disconnected from who you are and how you want to live. You might feel flat, emotionally tired, or worn down by the effort of keeping going. Perhaps you’ve been carrying a lot on your own, or pushing through when what you really need is space to breathe.

You don’t need to wait for a crisis or have all the words — just a sense that something needs attention. I offer a calm place to begin exploring what’s been difficult, without judgement. We start from where you are and move at a pace that feels steady and supportive.

My approach is compassionate, relational, and down-to-earth. As an integrative counsellor, I don’t rely on a single model or approach. Instead, I listen carefully and tailor sessions to what feels most helpful and manageable for you. I draw from a range of therapeutic perspectives, including body-based and mindful ways of working, to help you feel more grounded and supported in yourself.

Even when life feels messy or overwhelming, I believe there’s always the potential for understanding, healing, and change. Often, it’s in being listened to with warmth and respect that we begin to feel more connected — both to ourselves and to what matters most.

Session Information

I offer in-person, online, and telephone counselling. Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly, and you’re welcome to come for short- or longer-term support. My fee is £55 per session.

I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Hypnotherapist.
I work from a Person-centred approach but include other styles if appropriate. That might not mean much if you haven't tried counselling before, but it basically means that the therapy is led by you and whatever you bring to the session, believing that we all have our own answers and my role is to help you discover them. Sometimes I use creative techniques, such as writing or drawing, if that is something that we decide together might help.

I work with individuals and couples. At the moment I work with adults, but am working towards gaining a Diploma to work with young people age 10+).

I have worked extensively in a support role with various organisations, and have training in a trauma approach.

The hypnotherapy I practice is based on deep relaxation and replacing negative thought/ideas with positive ones, for instance using imagery- the mind is a powerful tool.

I offer a free telephone introduction (about 15 minutes) for anyone who would like to know more about me or the therapy I offer.

Generally I am available for in-person appointments on a Friday although evenings in the week can be arranged. I can offer online appointments most days by arrangement. We can discuss this once you have made contact.

A session costs £50 for an individual or £70 for a couple.
