Jo BogaCZ

Jo Bogacz teaches yoga and runs a yoga therapy practice in Cardiff, Wales. She has been teaching yoga since 2013 and has practiced yoga & meditation for over 30 years. She is a registered Yoga Therapist with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). She teaches Professional Studies & Ethics on a Yoga Therapy Diploma. Her core yoga training is with British Wheel of Yoga (BWY). She works in a trauma-informed way and specialises in the practice
areas of mental health, women’s health and older people’s health. She undertakes regular retreat to further her own process and receives supervision for her clinical work from a senior Yoga Therapist.  Her qualifications include:
- ​​Level 4 RQF Ofqual regulated Teaching Diploma (BWY 500-hours).
- Level 4 Ofqual regulated Gentle Years Yoga BWY Diploma for teaching older adults and
those with age related conditions.
- 550-hours Diploma in Yoga Therapy accredited with British Council of Yoga Therapy (Yoga
Focus).
- 600-hours Trauma Informed Embodied Yoga Therapy Diploma (Womb Gaia).
- 180-hours Well-Woman Yoga Therapy & Yoga Nidra Facilitator (Yoga Nidra Network)
- IHHTC Holistic Therapy Diploma (Reflexologist, Massage Therapist, Counselling as a therapist)
Jo is the Founder Director of Yoga Health Connect CIC (YHC), a social enterprise dedicated to integrating yoga therapy as a key health intervention within the professional health sector. Jo has a legal background, is trained as a Solicitor and has practiced as a Mental Health Advocate. She was a Trustee for the mental health charity Mind for 7 years. She has vast experience of working with people who have lived experience of mental health problems and worked directly with vulnerable adults in rehabilitation and crisis as part of community outreach, in psychiatric hospitals, and in criminal justice settings. Her own yoga practice grew out of lived experience of mental ill-health and distress. With emphasis on working with yogic tools and techniques for holistic health and purposeful wellbeing, her focus is for everyone to make confident choices when seeking yoga and when looking to improve health outcomes/symptom management. Her style is nurturing with emphasis on integrative body and breathwork, mindful meditation and relaxation. She supports people develop greater awareness, to reconnect with themselves and the world around them, and renew mind-body vitality. She works insightfully bringing compassion, kindness, and a person-centred approach to all her work.
